Sh. Rakesh K. Ahirwar

Shri Rakesh Kumar Ahirwar assumed the charge of Chief Engineer ( Hydro Mechanical works  and Quality Control works) of SAPDC  after Joining of SAPDC on 09/06/2019. Prior to joining of SAPDC   he was AGM (Cost Engineering Cell) CHQ, Shimla from Oct. 2017 to May 2019.  He holds the degree of ‘Civil Engineering’   (1980-85 batch) and M. Tech (1985-87 batch) from MACT, Bhopal University and started his career from Central water commission, New Delhi in June1987. He has more than 32 years of experience in hydro design and construction as well. Before Joining SJVNL he worked approximately seven and half year’s period in central water commission, New Delhi for design of diversion tunnel, gates and bridge of Narmada Hydro Electric Project.

Shri Rakesh Kumar Ahirwar Joined SJVNL in Dec. 1994 and since then is working for the organization in the different projects. He has worked in Nathpa  Jhakri HE Project (1500 MW) for about 09 years and was involved in the completion of Diversion Tunnel, Desilting Chambers (One of the largest in world) gate-cum-ventilation gallery, Flushing tunnel, Flushing arrangement, cut and cover and shafts ( gates, ventilation and stair cum lift well) etc. In Rampur HE Project (412 MW) he worked for more than 9 years for construction of BVH, Pot head yard, Power house, pressure shafts, steel liner( fabrication and erection) and TRT etc. He was also worked for Thermal power project at Buxar, Bihar for 4 years and he was mainly associated for land acquisition, Survey of project land & water drawl corridor and Infrastructure works.

He has been assigned the work of hydro mechanical and quality control works considering his past experience of fabrication and erection of steel liner of Rampur HEP and wide civil construction works in both the Hydro projects were successfully commissioned.
