Sh. R. K. Singh, Hon'ble Minister of State (IC), India (Power, New & Renewable Energy, SD & E) visited Arun-3 HEP on 11.09.2019 along with other dignitaries i.e. Sh. S. K. G. Rahate, Additional Secy., MOP, GoI, Sh. Prabodh Saxena, Principal Secy., MPP GoHP, Sh. Ajay Kumar, DCM, Embassy of India, Sh. K Sreekant, CMD, PGCIL, Sh. Kul Man Ghising, MD, NEA and Sh. Madhu Prasad Bhetuwal, DG, DoED. The Hon'ble dignitaries were accompanied by Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, SJVN & Chairman, SAPDC, Sh. S. P. Bansal, Director (Civil), SJVN and Sh. Arun Dhiman, CEO, SAPDC to Dam and Power House Sites of Arun-3 HEP along with respective site incharges and officers.

The Hon'ble Minister along with other dignitaries first visited Dam site wherein they were offered warm welcome by Dam works Team headed by Sh. R. K. Jassal, Chief Engineer, SAPDC. The dignitaries visited HRT, Diversion Tunnel & dam abutment Stripping sites wherein the progress of works was briefed to them. Also, Commencement of Intake Works was inaugurated by Sh. R. K. Singh, Honb'le Minister, MoP, India by taking first blast for the same from Dam site Right Bank, which was followed by sweets distribution.

After completing visit of Dam site, Hon'ble dignitaries reached Power House Site where warm welcome was offered to them by Team of Power House Works headed by Sh. Rakesh Singh, Chief Engineer, SAPDC. The dignitaries visited Transformer Hall Central Gullet and other sites of PH Package and reviewed the progress. The last blast for completion of Power House Central Gullet excavation was also taken here by Sh. R. K. Singh, Hon'ble Minister, MoP, India followed by distribution of sweets.

After completing the visit to Power House site, the Hon'ble Minister along with other dignitaries reached Tumlingtar Airport where they were welcomed by a Team Headed by Sh. Harish Sharma, Chief Engineer, SAPDC by gracing them with Khada and Rudraksh mala. The dignitaries were further welcomed at SAPDC Complex, Tumlingtar (Arun Sadan) by a Team headed by Sh. Jitendra Yadav, Chief Finance Officer, SAPDC gracing the dignitaries with black cap (topi) and Khukri knife.

After red carpet welcome and welcome tea, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, SJVN and Chariman, SAPDC explained the Project Model of 900 MW Arun-3 HEP to Hon'ble Minister and other dignitaries. The team of dignitaries were offered assorted lunch at SAPDC which was followed by plantation of Rudraksh plant by Sh. R. K. Singh, Hon'ble Minister, MoP, India.

The Hon'ble Minister praised the visit preparations, dedication of SAPDC Team and progress of Project Works of Arun-3 HEP before seeing off to Kathmandu for Nepal Infrastructure Summit-2019.
